I have some boys that LOVE to bake! This was a Sunday afternoon a few weeks before we left. It was one of our last days of just hanging out before our really busy days leading up to Thailand. Stan suddenly got the urge to make cookies and of course Kirby and Bennett wanted to help. Unfortunately right now the only cookie cutters we have are Christmas shapes (a star, candy cane and tree) but they didn't care. Stan even got creative and started making his own shapes. Who knows, maybe my boys will follow in the long line of great men cooks in our family, just like Papa John and Great Uncle Frank! I just hope they'll let me join in once I can be on my feet for longer periods of time. :)

Stan made a letter for each member of the family. That is technically a candy cane and not a J but we can pretend.

So of course Bennett wanted to as well...only he couldn't hold it without almost snapping it in half.
